Our Plantation
Jalpa Gold Himalayan Coffee, brought to you by Plantec Coffee Estate—a family-owned plantation in the stunning hills of Nepal, where we’ve been crafting exceptional coffee for over 30 years.
The Estate has been growing rare, specialty coffee on one of the northernmost coffee estates in the world. Nestled amidst the verdant landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Nepal, our plantation was established with the vision of producing coffee that reflects the unique flavors of our region. We believe handcrafted production of great-tasting coffee can go hand-in-hand with stewardship of the environment and support of economic progress in surrounding communities.
Location
Nuwakot District, Nepal; 72 kilometres North of the capital city of Kathmandu; situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, at the base of the Ganesh Himal mountains, whose snow-melt waters pass via The Gosaikunda lake, (the waters are considered holy by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims) and flow alongside our estate.
The Estate sits on a frost-free valley that is unusual for this altitude and location (so close to the snow-capped Himalayan mountain range).
